"The Natural Bridge" of Shenandoah, VA. 20 stories of solid rock, carved by the fingers of nature.
A view of Great Smoky Mountain National Park from Clingman's Dome (6684ft), which is one of the highest
point of th Appalachian Mts. State line between North Carolina & Tennessee lies on the top of the Dome.
The Appalachian Trail is a 2,175-mile long public footpath. Conceived in 1921 and completed in 1937, private citizens built the trail and thousands like you each year volunteer to maintain its footprint. From Maine’s Mount Katahdin and Georgia’s Springer Mountain, this footpath traverses scenic, wooded, pastoral, wild and culturally resonant lands through 14 of the eastern United States.
One of the most visited places of the park is "Cades Cove". A huge meadow sourrounded by Mts. packed
trees which reveals a spectacular scenery in summer & fall seasons. Deers were in dozens not in couples
and people were gethered in several places to enjoy local music(country musics with benzo, guitar, & fiddles).
Had a short hike (5miles round trip) in Anthony Creek near Cades Cove. Most of the trails were covered
by rush greens, and it was endless; on and on and on... (2200 miles total from Georgia to Main).
